Hermes Fellowship

Privacy and Google data

Updated October 21, 2026. Hermes Fellowship is a private assistant operated by its account owner. This notice describes the Google connection, rather than an offer of a public service.

Access and purpose

The connection accesses Gmail messages and account metadata; Drive files and metadata; Docs, Sheets and Slides content; and contacts. It uses that access to carry out the owner's tasks, including finding information, preparing responses, managing mail and files, and producing documents. Sending a message, sharing a file or taking another consequential action requires authority for that task. Contacts access is read-only. This connection does not request Calendar permissions.

Processing and sharing

Information needed for a task can be returned to the assistant and processed by the AI provider selected for that conversation. Relevant material can appear in conversation history, task results, the owner's configured memory systems and requested exports or documents. These systems may include third-party AI and memory services. Their account settings and data practices also apply. The owner controls which providers and tasks are used.

The connection is not offered to advertisers or data brokers and does not sell Google user data. It is for the owner's productivity, rather than creating a general-purpose training dataset. This notice does not promise that a third-party provider never retains or uses submitted data; provider terms and account controls must be reviewed before sending protected information.

Storage and security

OAuth credentials are held in private, access-controlled server files. The eight profiles use one credential owner through the connector, rather than distributing Google refresh tokens to every profile. Credentials, connector records and conversation data may be included in private recovery backups. Logs and task records can retain requested information. The public information site does not include Google tokens, messages, contacts, document contents or a way to log into the assistant.

Retention and revocation

The owner manages retention of conversations, memory, exports and backups. Revoking access in the Google Account's third-party connections stops future authorized access but does not automatically delete previously saved conversations, documents, memory or recovery copies. Those must be managed in their respective systems. The owner can also remove the saved credentials and disable the connector.
